Yard Salers

Now I'm talking directly to you people that attend yard sales. I despise most of you! You are so freaking cheap I can't stand it! Here I am selling good stuff from my home an you have the audacity to roll your eyes at me when I give you a price for something. Especially when something is brand new. How dare you try to low ball me. I paid $11.00 for some clothes, I'm asking $2 for it (with the tags still on) and you have the nerve to ask me if I'll sell it for a dollar! Get off my lawn!
Then there are the people that all come in one car, then run at you with all their items and try to confuse you with what change you are supposed to give them. ONE AT A TIME!

It's so much easier selling on EBAY or Craigslist

The Gloucester Girls

If you haven't heard by now there are 17 teens pregnant at Gloucester High. Some because they made a pact to raise their babies together.
You girls are knuckleheads. This is not a game. Raising a child is hard work. You're not even 16, your not ready for the responsibility to take care of a child of your own. It's very hard work, and it's a non stop job.

Parent, where the hell were you while this was going on? They were having sex with a 24 year old homeless guy. You need to know where your kids are 24/7. Calling their sell phone doesn't work, they lie. If they say they will be at a friends house, call it directly, talk to the other parents.

This is a very sad day in America, parents- you need to wake up.

So sick of lazy Americans

I gotta tell you I am so sick of the general population out there. They are so self serving and could really not care about anyone else around.

Here are some examples:

Shopping carts. I should not have to drive into the lot of a store and not find a space because a dozen or so people were too lazy to walk their cart to the cart return in the parking lot. Most returns are not more than a few spaces from each car, yet the parking lots are littered with them. If you can walk your lazy ass to get a cart, you can return it also.

Picking up after your dog. There is a local park in town that I can no longer take my daughter to. Why? Next to the playground area there is an open area that is filled with dog poop. Now dog owners, you can see kids playing there. You know kids run off in different directions. Pick up after your freakin' dog, or don't bring it there. Simple.

Picking up after yourself. Do you really need to throw that trash on the ground? You can't wait until you find a trash can or until you get home? I am so tired of taking my daughter places and there is trash all over the ground. It disgusts me. My daughter should not have to dodge apple cores and McDonalds cups because you were too lazy to clean up after yourself. You suck.

Smokers. I went to the beach the other day. Now this was a state run beach that you need to pay to get in. It was like walking through an ashtray. The beach is not the place for you to just throw your cigarette butts. My daughter picked up three while we were there and I had to throw them away myself. Smokers are always talking abouts their rights. You don't have the right to litter the beach with you cancer sticks.

Loud people. Sure there are times and events that people can be loud and boisterous. But at 11:30 at night in the middle of a quiet neighborhood, it not the place. I should not be able to hear you call your crew up the street. Most of us are in bed and I don't need to hear your yelling.

Fake people, mainly political supporters. Here's my problem: I watched a certain candidate's speech a few weeks ago when he was declaring what he would do when he got into the office of the President. He kept repeating that he needed the help of the citizens once he got in to help evoke the changes he wanted to make. They were all cheering and clapping and pumped at his every word. Here's the reality: Once he gets into office, it will be business as usual. Meaning, the American people won't care and will go back to their self centered lives. So all those "changes" will equate into nothing.
People don't like to have to work for things, they like it handed to them on a silver platter. Americans are spoiled for the most part. When was the last time you walked by a piece of trash and picked it up?
My point exactly.

So tired of marketing

Why is it I cannot buy a product for my child without a blasted commercial tie in? I don't want diapers or training pants with characters from TV on them. I want just plain old training pants.
Why can I not buy her plates and cups without the latest movie character tie ins?
Fast Food restaurants marketing the kids meals toys to movies that are made for adults. My 2 year old is not going to see "Indiana Jones" or "The Incredible Hulk", so why should she be subjected to toys from those films?
Why can't we have a choice between a non commercial item, and one that is?
I've jumped on the bandwagon too....

GO CELTICS! KICK LA'S ASS!

I drove to the top of a mountain

You can give me any type of amusement ride, and I'm fine. The tallest roller coaster, I'll ride it. The most thrilling thrill ride, I'm on it. Those things don't bother me.
I just did the scariest thing ever in my life. We drove to the top of a mountain. We're talking over 6,000 feet in the air. No guard rails and cars going both directions. I nearly lost my mind. One slip of the steering wheel and we were goners. I couldn't even look out the window until we reached the safe haven at the top.
When we got to the top, I was happy we did it. It was the most spectacular thing. You could see forever. Then the clouds rolled in and I was surrounded by them. It was an experience I will never forget. It was so peaceful. It was as far away as you can get from the craziness of life. I could have stayed up there all day and not want to go back down.
I'm glad we "scaled" the mountain. Will I do it again? Not with the car! I'll take the train up next time!
I know this is late.....

Senator Kennedy- I could care less that you have a brain tumor. Let me tell you why.
First- we had to have an entire day of news dedicated to you because you were diagnosed. Guess what? You're not alone. 9,000 Americans get diagnosed with the same tumor each year. Where is their news coverage?
Second- You've lived a full life, it's not like you're 22 and finding this out. I know this sounds mean, but, it would be more tragic if you were in the prime of your life.
Third- You had surgery in NC? WTF? Boston not good enough for you? We have great surgeons here. My mother had her tumor removed in Boston and she survived. I think that's a total slap in the face to you home state.
Fourth- You had surgery in NC. See, you can afford the best medical care in the country. What about those other 9,000 people? They don't have that option.

So Senator Kennedy, enjoy your recovery on the Cape.
Oh Wah and Boo Hoo

Ok so for the first time in 23 years John Kerry has to run a campaign. That's right someone is running opposition against him. I love it! Kerry tried to keep this gentleman off the ballot, and then his opponent ending getting more support than he actually needed to get on the ballot.
I'm glad Kerry Has competition. It's about time. We need new blood in MA. I am so tired of the same old politics here.
So Senator Kerry, Boo hoo that you actually have to work for votes this fall. I for one will not be in your corner.
Why are you in such a rush?

I recently got back from vacation. I have to say it has given me a different outlook on life.
I can't understand why everyone is in such a rush. Why do you have to sit on my bumper while I'm going the speed limit?
People need to simplify their lives. You don't need to be 37 places at once. You don't need to have you kids involved in 89 activities. You need to sit down together as a family and spend time with each other. You never know when it can instantly end. Sit down and eat a meal together. Enjoy each other and don't be running off all the time.
Enjoy the scenery, you never know when that will be gone. We need to stop building on every available space. We don't need new houses. I see so many for sale, and yet new ones keep popping up.
We need to enjoy what we have and not what we want tomorrow. I know it's cliche, but you really should take time to smell the roses. They are very lovely this time of year.
The death of an Icon

I couldn't believe the shocking news yesterday of Tim Russert's death. I had just watched him last Sunday on "Meet the Press", and I felt so sad to hear that he was gone.
This was, to me, a great newsman. You don't find many of those these days. When you watched him, you felt like he was asking the questions you wanted to ask of his guests. I felt like he connected with the everyday person, because he was the everyday guy. There was a joy about him. He loved what he did. It's sad that he will not be seeing how the election ends in November.
I am heartbroken for his wife and son. I can't imagine the pain. Just knowing they had completed a vacation with him and were still so far away when he passed.
I can't wrap my head around why the people that are good and make a difference, leave us too early. It's not right.
God bless you Mr. Russert, and Rest in Peace. You will be truly missed.
