When Did I Contract the Disease?

Did you notice that when you have a major change in your life, some people disappear like you contracted a contagious fatal disease?
Take marriage for instance- once you're married most of your single friends disappear. Sure there are a few that will stick around because they become family and love you no matter what. But the majority just don't have anything in common with you any more and jsut sort of fade into the sunset.
Then there's the baby. So all the "new friends" you made after you got married, seem to scatter like dust. Again there are the select few that stick around because maybe they have kids too and give you a world of advice. For the most part though, your circle of real friends you can count on one hand.
